The Eileen Corcoran Award 2018

Naas Musical Society are delighted to announce that the recipient of the Eileen Corcoran award for unsung hero 2017/2018 is Sue Kelly! Sue was the epitome of a dedicated member this year. She enthusiastically and patiently organised our Fashion Show, which was not only a very enjoyable fundraiser but it was a very successful one at that! She put her heart and soul into it and seemed to have spreadsheet after spreadsheet, colour coded models and a lot of very useful contacts, that pulled it all together. Straight after the fashion show she was into putting us through our paces for the Concert, she choreographed it as well as creating our pictures on stage and assisting Claire with direction. When it comes to dance rehearsals Sue is always willing to come in early to ensure anyone needing help gets it. She also was so helpful during our snow crisis going live on Facebook to do hair and makeup tutorials which many members found very useful. And on top of that she brings a great sense of fun to rehearsals and her many award deserving reactions on stage are always a great source of entertainment on DVD night! We truly believe Sue is a very deserving and worthy recipient of this award

The Eileen Corcoran Unsung Hero 2017

We would like to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to John Dooley, this years winner of the Eileen Corcoran Unsung Hero Award.
John is always there to lend a helping hand for the society. From building sets, working backstage, playing at open mic night, performing on stage and always making us laugh! He brings fun wherever he goes and we would be lost without him.
